How do Plumbers find clients?

Once upon a time, if you needed a plumber, you went to the Yellow Pages book (or local paper) and looked up the plumbing section for a list of plumbers. You then randomly chose a plumber depending on whether you liked their advert, or maybe they had an address close by. In some cases, you may have seen or heard an advert on the local radio, TV, bus or vehicle, but this only worked if you were currently looking for a plumber when you saw or heard these ads.

What about finding a plumber that you thought you could trust?

In this case, the only real way to find a reliable plumber with a good reputation, was to ask your friends and family for a recommendation.

With the creation of the internet, this has all changed. The Yellow Pages book no longer exists, and you’d even struggle to find a local paper with a trade's directory in it. So, how are people finding plumbers in the age of the internet?
